   Went here to do a license conversion and theory test. I had to queue another 30 mins even though I already made my appointment. Waited another 20mins for my theory test even though it was empty. I struggle to understand the staff english with a strong accent. When I completed my test I got an email of my test result and realised that they misspelled my name. The lady was helping me to sort this but she kept blaming me for not checking it before my test, there was no way for me to check, all I got was a pin code to the computer. The whole process took me 2 hours.

   Not even worth one star. Went in for an IRD verification . Informed that it cannot be done due to IRD’s new policies. I contacted the IRD office they informed that they should have done it because I had all the necessary documents. I went to IRD office in Takapuna and they did the verification process in 2 minutes!! . If you can’t provide service please shut your office down or hand it over to another third party company without wasting peoples time and energy. GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER!!

   Sat a theory test at the AA today, there was a minimal wait to be seen, and then I was able to sit the theory test right away. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, making the whole experience way less stressful. I'm sorry I didnt get the staff members names - but a huge thanks to them for their kindness!

   Came in a bit after 9am to do my overseas license conversion there was basically no wait at all. Super efficient! Elson was warm and polite, very professional yet easygoing. He explained everything clearly, the whole process was smooth, and I was all done before 9:30. Overall, a great experience!

   I visited AA last week to convert my overseas driver’s license, and I was assisted by an Asian male staff member with black hair. There were three staff members at the counter, and he was seated right in the middle. While helping me, he also picked up a fallen water bottle for a teammate and passed over some documents they needed. It wasn’t that he wasn’t focused — it just showed how thoughtful and attentive he was to everyone around him. He looked a little tired, but still stayed incredibly cheerful, kind, and patient the whole time. Even when I misunderstood some instructions and didn’t follow things properly, he never got annoyed or frustrated — just calmly guided me through everything. He even waved with both hands when I left. I’m sorry I didn’t catch his name, but he was such a genuinely good person — the kind of person who makes you want to be a better one yourself. Staff like him are rare anywhere in the world. I truly appreciated his professionalism and kindness. Thank you so much!

   I went there to change the car ownership and to take the insurance. Thankfully the time I went the place was not that crowded and they looked into my requirement immediately. All sorted out within half an hour. Really appreciated Sunny the lady who works for insurance department. She was so polite, friendly and elaborated the who process in detail and provide the good quote. Overall I am pretty happy with the service AA Albert Street provided.

   My experience at the AA Albert Street center was awful. I was embarrassed by all the staff there at the Driving License Counters, questioning my “prior payment”. Without even checking it on their system to see whether I was right or wrong, they started a full scale “investigation” regarding my issue. AND, found out, after a good 10-15 mins interrogation & wasting my precious time, that I have done the payment & it’s there in their system. Shame on them! Customers should not be served like this; no matter how prestigious (in this case AA is definitely NOT!), how busy there are or how understaffed! I would not go there again or suggest anyone else to go!

   Went there last week during my lunch break. Long queue but all the staff members were working absolutely non stop, without any pause, processing customers as fast as they could. Ben was very efficient at renewing my driving license. It only took him a few minutes to verify my details, take me through the eyes test, take an ID picture, and issue me with a temporary license. Could not have been done any faster than that. Kudos to the staff having to work in those conditions, often dealing with customers who don't speak English as their first language.

   I can appreciate that working the counter at this place must not be that much fun, but I took my morning off, brought all the appropriate paperwork (per the AA website) to change my name on my license after getting married. I had my old driver's license, my old and new passport with my old and new name and my NZ marriage certificate, but apparently this wasn't enough proof of my new name? With no explanation other than I needed a piece of NZ documentation showing I had my name changed (apparently a marriage certificate from NZ isn't sufficient), even though it is listed as supporting documentation on the licensing application. I wasn't given an appropriate explanation, was rushed out, and with no compassion or apology. The staff seem overworked and completely lacking in compassion. I would have appreciated a supervisor or manager providing an explanation as to why the documentation I brought, as it aligns with the requirements of the AA paperwork, wasn't sufficient. Terrible customer service.
