Well laid out store, clean and spacious. The plants in the garden centre are lovely and healthy and there is a good range. Each team member greeted me with a smile and Chris on the front self checkout was lovely and helpful. Thank you so much team!
This 5 star review is only because of Ryan. The girl who stood at the checkout gate of the trade dept didn’t show any interest of assisting on 6th Nov at around 5pm. She pointed me in the direction of Ryan and he went above and beyond to measure the timber i needed, the type and also cut it to the requirements. Very polite guy and thanks again!
Bunnings Warehouse Grey Lynn is a popular hardware store in Auckland that offers a wide variety of products at reasonable prices. I would like to share feedback regarding my recent visit to your Grey Lynn branch, 23 August 2025. When I asked staff for assistance in locating a product, I felt I was not treated with the same courtesy as other customers. For example, one staff member (a middle-aged woman) was friendly when helping another customer but was dismissive when I asked for help. Another staff member (a younger woman) was also unhelpful, but her attitude changed when a male colleague approached her. As an Asian customer, this difference in treatment made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I am not certain if this was due to unconscious bias, but it gave me the impression that I was not valued as a customer. I believe all customers deserve equal respect and assistance, regardless of their background. I hope you will look into this matter and remind your staff of the importance of consistent, inclusive, and respectful customer service. Thank you for your attention, and I look forward to hearing how you will address this.

Generally has everything needed. However rating a 2 star due to one staff member who consistently sees me pay at the counter 3 metres away from him, and expects me to juggle my shopping as I leave the store and pull my receipt out for him to mindlessly scan it without bothering to check the items he's scanning the receipt for. It happens so often that I have started going to Mitre 10 instead.

Me and my workmate was looking for some paints, brushes and rollers yesterday at Bunnings Grey Lynn and Shout Out to NEKA for her amazing service! Even though she did lots of things, she still manage to help us wholeheartedly and give her best advice. She made our shopping experiences so good!!!!
