   We had our Smeg oven door explode a week ago and were put in touch with ESI by Smeg Australia. We had purchased our oven from Kitchen and Things in Tauranga 3 years ago.[ This company has since gone into receivership. ] Our warranty had expired but EIS came to our rescue. They had the replacement glass door shipped from Australia, couriered to Tauranga and arranged for a local electrical company to complete the repair at their expense. Fantastic service much appreciated by two oldies!

   Shocking way to run a business - Only gave them a STAR to allow me to post this review. Was NOT worth 1 star Needed an LG approved technician for our freezer. Was charged over $200 for a callout which lasted less than 10 minutes. Despite the bottom drawer being stuck, the guy had no tool kit so left it. He advised us that the fan wasn't working and left. An email arrived the following day with a quote for an additional $600 - to be paid in advance for a new fan I got a 2nd technician recommended by a friend; he came out WITH a tool box, fixed the runner under the drawer, removed the fan and ran it under the hot tap - Hey-Presto, it was working once more Total cost for call out, time and skills? $120!!!!!!!! Despite the reply to this review stating "Our technician did a thorough check and found broken/worn parts" I would like to repeat that he had NO TOOL BOX, took out nothing, did NOT look at the fan and could not even repair the damaged runner to allow the drawer to come out to look at the fan. Even if this was a "temporary fix" as the responder claims, at least it allowed us to eat, and if it was so simple, their technician could surely have done it - if he stayed more than 10- minutes! I'm not a keyboard warrior, and I don't normally go to write reviews, but as a business owner myself, this kind of customer service and cover up is really annoying. I will not be commenting further on this matter. It is now closed and our "temporary fix" is continuing to work well

   I contacted this company to source compatible door hinges for my oven and clearly explained the issue upfront. A technician was sent out, and while he was polite and professional, he was only at my home for about five minutes before confirming what I had already told them - that the hinges were the problem. I was charged over $160 for this brief visit, only to later be informed that no compatible parts were available. To make matters worse, the final recommendation was to replace the entire oven. This could have easily been checked before the appointment, saving both time and money. Very disappointed with the lack of communication and efficiency throughout the process.

   I don't normally leave reviews but we had great service. My dishwasher broke down and the team replaced very quickly under warranty. We recently had a kitchen renovation, and the electrical work was terrible - Andrew brought these issues to our attention and happily fixed, and installed the new dishwasher for us. Thank you!

   In my view (as a business owner myself), ESI charge an extreme hourly rate and are not customer focused. To 'assess' my microwave at home, determine that it needed 2 x men to remove and take it to their warehouse, then find a faulty fuse was the issue it cost a total of $1,002! I opted to collect and reinstall myself (1 person) to reduce the cost. Will not be using again.

   We had a real problem needing urgent attention. ESI we’re responsive, went out of their way to get here, and professional and skilled in their repair.    Took over a month to get the actual repair completed ! Wish I’d looked at all the other one star reviews this company has earned , nothing wrong with the repair person , just the rude lazy office staff who care more about collecting prepayment than getting the job booked in a timely manner, Had to follow up to get repair person back to fix washing machine , get part ordered and be aware they will charge you a second call out fee to come back and finish the original job you paid them to do

   Called for oven repair and first they said it would be $270 as we needed 2 technicians for a double oven. When I said I’d call around they said one would do and would be $160. They came and told my partner they needed to order a part. One week later didn’t hear from them so called and they said they had to get in touch with manufacturer as the serial # on oven was worn so they couldn’t order the part. No timeline given. One month later haven’t heard from them. Would not recommend at all.

   Best service I've ever had. Andrew and Dave were the nicest, most professional, efficient, kind, and knowledgeable engineers and technicians we've ever seen. They came on time. They kindly assessed our needs and had our new dryer up and running in 40 minutes within arrival to our home. Thank you so much ESI ! Made appointment only 2 days before they came.
