   We had the cam belt of a Toyota Hiace replaced by Carlos and his team. We showed up spontaneously in the afternoon, were able to leave the car right away, and were offered a free replacement vehicle. Carlos explained the work transparently, informed me before replacing any additional parts (thermostat), and provided photos of the repair process as well as the removed parts. We picked up the car the next day – the previously agreed price was fully honored. As someone with experience in car repairs, I can say that nothing unnecessary was pushed on us. The price was fair and justified. A few weeks later, we returned to ANL spontaneously due to condensation inside the vehicle from the AC. The car was immediately put on the lift, and the blocked drain hose was cleared – quickly and conveniently. We truly appreciated that and can fully recommend ANL to anyone looking for honest work at a fair price – thank you!

   Highly Recommend! Go here! I dropped in with an urgent electrical issue, but I also knew my car was due for a service. Carlos and Gideon were fantastic professional, helpful, and clear in their communication. They explained all the costs upfront and made sure I understood everything before moving forward. Not only did they fix the issue, but they also completed a full service and issued a warrant, and dealt with other maintenance issues quickly on my day off. I’m extremely grateful for their efficiency and care. Well priced, excellent communication, and outstanding customer service. I highly recommend

   I took my vehicle for a full service today. Staff were very friendly and took a reasonable time. The mechanic took his time explaining everything to me and walked me under my car and pointed out what has been done and what I should keep in mind for future. He took extra time out to educate in simple terms of the work carried out and why. Could not recommend a workshop more than these guys. Service was fairly priced too.

   I had a very disappointing experience with Automotive New Lynn and cannot recommend their services. I initially brought my car in due to a dashboard warning light related to the transmission, trusting this was an honest and reliable shop. Unfortunately, that trust was misplaced. After their inspection, they claimed the issue was resolved with a full transmission service and also advised me to replace the front lower suspension arm. However, they never performed a proper drive test, and the warning light returned as soon as I drove the car. To make matters worse, they did not use an original transmission gasket, and I later discovered oil leaking in my garage. When I returned, they admitted they were not experts in gearbox transmission and couldn’t fix the issue. I had to take my car to a specialist, who found the real problem: a faulty solenoid and a poorly sealed gasket (sealed with silicone instead of being properly replaced). The specialist fixed everything, but it cost me additional time and money. On top of that, they returned my car in an unsafe condition without informing me that a wheel alignment was needed. This lack of professionalism put me at risk. I am still waiting for a refund for the subpar service. I strongly urge others to be cautious when dealing with this shop.

   TL;DR Had to get my brake pads and rotor disks done for WoF. Carlos & Gideon were Legends. Fast, tidy, and detailed work. Will go again when I need something that falls into their services. --- Longer Story Carlos explained me the whole process without being prompted (due to only mentioning the pads, and not the rotor disks when I called), what Carlos didn't know is that I had gotten a budget from somewhere else, and they (the other place I'd been to the day before) were straight away trying to get me to change the rotor disks (my disks needed only skimming), with no consultation or prior notice, thus I gave the other place the finger (I measured my disks so i knew they were more than ok widthwise, and had no damage). So I was more than happy with how he explained it when I only mentioned the Pads instead of just throwing me a budget with things I hadn't requested. It doesn't take long to communicate something simple. Carlos knew what I wanted, and what he'd likely face once the car were to arrive at the shop, and gave me a heads up, so I wouldn't get any surprises. Took the car mid afternoon since they had a slot and it was done by the end of the day. Happy to say that ANL helped me solve what was missing for me to pass my WoF. Gideon was there when I went to pick up the car later that day, and he was also super friendly and easy to talk to. Good team, fair market prices, and no shenanigans :) They were recommended to me by a friend, and I will recommend then as well from hence forth.
