I got in contact with them to book a horse riding trek 1 month in advance and they went from sending me three emails a day to completely ghosting me two weeks before the date we were aiming to book for. Itβs unprofessional and inconsiderate as we would have gone elsewhere if we knew this was going to happen. Overall waste of time

Such an absolutely amazing experience here at Tasman. I have personally loved it here. At Tasman there are encouraging, understanding, coaches that allow you to reach your full potential while riding. These coaches are understanding, but also push you to get where you need to be as a Rider. Tasman supports young riders in an understanding and beginner, friendly way. They supply food, water showers etc. I have been coming to Tasman since I was seven and clearly, the coaches and owners are doing something right because I keep coming back.

By all accounts the camps are well run but the horse lease program is what this review is about. If you are a confident adult rider you will probably be fine. If however you have a teenage daughter that has done some riding then this is the wrong place for you. There is no program for proper instruction or regulation, merely a small orientation from the other leasee's (which are all very nice). The owner is not at all helpful.

I have been to this camp several times, I love it! I completely disagree with the people telling others to not trust their kids on camps. There are very kind and experienced guides and trainers that pair the kids in groups from age and your riding experience very well so you are able to be with your friends! They focus on your ability individually and let you do whatever's comfortable with your experience in riding. They are pretty laid back with the cabins and it's fun to talk about your day and what happened when you went riding on the bunks. when you wake up you can have breakfast and hang outside waiting for the people that don't stay overnight to arrive then start riding! Seriously recommend!

I had such a fun time when I came here for a trek. The guide who took us was really nice and calmed my friend who was a little nervous to be on a horse at first. The horses were lovely and knew what they were doing and I still canβt get over the fantastic view which the guide pointed out was Kaipara harbour, and then Muriwai on the other side! It was a wonderful experience and I so look forward to coming again

Fantastic location, horses and staff. Gaie is a very caring and professional lady and takes super care of the horses. She is very particular who she lets lease ensuring the horses are well ridden and cared for. We have had the pleasure of leasing at Tasman for 4 years and have never experienced any rudeness from the staff and therefore disagree with the negative comments below. They are all professional, polite and caring. My daughter attends camp and thoroughly enjoys her time up there. I give Tasman 5 stars and would highly recommend Tasman rides to anyone looking for a gentle trek or looking to lease a horse.
