Unfortunately it has been closed for some time. Mr Buzz's car was parked outside the nearby courthouse so maybe he was in there sorting out something. He has other cafΓ©s around town, so maybe they are faring better.
I don't know why the food takes so long to come out (minimum 30 minutes) when the lady told me it was going to take only 5 minutes. The quality of the food is just terrible, the plate is not clean at all, even found a hair on it and they didn't seem to really care about it. They frequently told me sorry but I think it's one of their habit to cover up their mistakes but doesn't put into action. Honestly, I thought the price of the food was quite cheap but after looking/tasting the food it's way too overpriced. The tables are not cleaned properly (really sticky and soggy) and the tables and chairs are all over the place in the cafe. So disappointed with everything overall
The staff is very nice and offer free food to the homeless. Nice. They offer good cheap Chinese food, and also host some singles meetup after 2pm weekdays, and 10am in weekend. You can also hire the venue to host some event for free.
It's a while since I visited the cafe on this site and I was surprised to find it changed to hot chinese food. I only wanted a sandwich and while it was well-filled and tasty the bread on one side had become soggy. My coffee came with a peanut brownie cookie. After 1pm when I visited and the Staff member rose from his lunch and came to greet me presenting the menu to me. Chatty friendly staff
The new owners and staff seem friendly but the quality and variation of food has really gone downhill since the change if ownership. The bread they use tastes and feels as though its been left in the sun for several hours, no chilled drinks for sale and very little if any cakes and pastries.
A good location with many delicious and reasonable price food. They use free range eggs to serve, which is really rare to see in Welly! Had a chat with the manager there. She is working on a charity and always share food to someone who really need it. She is very kind and respectable. Love the food and people in there.
