Condescending front desk lady tonight, unnecessarily rude and sarcastic. Just because you are having a bad night, don’t take it out on other people, particularly people who are coming in for care. We wouldn’t have wanted to come here either for hours with an injured child unless we needed to.

Sorry but can't speak highly of the place at all. I can put up with the on average 2-3 hours wait time as long as I got the help I need. I took my daughter there twice during a span of two weeks with a high grade fever. Both occassions we were assured nothing was wrong,and we just needed to keep feeding her Ibuprofen. I next took her to Starship and they immediately arranged for a blood test and X-ray. She was diagnosed with a bad case of pneumonia. I can't imagine what would have happened if we had listened to the Docs and kept waiting.
Visited first time. Because I was not getting the needed help from other GPs from last 4months, and have been struggling medically. 5pm I was attended by a Nurse who took details and informed me, that there are 16 Patients before me.I waited until 10pm and asked about how long is the que, I was told 14Patients are before me. I travelled from far away to this place, sadly I had to leave, because I had no transport. The Nurse said you can wait the night, but we are Sorry. So there was NO courtesy, for waiting that long. I do understand they attend emergency case. But I also felt like there were people who came 2hrs after me, were attended before me. I cried outside the Shore Care before leaving.
I don’t know others felt about Shore care Takapuna,. I took my little one to the urgent care, we waited almost 3 hrs before we could be seen by doctor!!!! we arrived 10:30pm, left shore care 1:20am, after waiting over 2 hrs I asked the front why everyone came after us were all been seen and gone, the answer was maybe those people were sicker than my little one, as a health professional myself, I have far better understanding about the priorities myself, however, there is no way every single people were sicker than my little one, so I believe we just forgotten and left alone till I asked!! Not a nice experience at all. We we left there is no single person in the waiting room.
