   Note: It's been years since this experience, and I now have the knowledge to suspect what went on here. (Late 2019) KAAR Mitsubishi took advantage of my lack of mechanical knowledge, charging excess $$$ from me. I gave my Mitsubishi pajero into these guys many years back, as the 4wd wasn't engaging. Being naive, I simply agreed with what they had in mind. However, KAAR had an agenda to make more than what was necessary. Claiming they had to replace the ECU and doing so (Ecu being $900 out of the $1108.20 bill) only for the issue to not be solved. Then, upon the new year, the issue was almost solved instantaneously as they knew right off the bat (convenient) to replace a speed actuator (much cheaper than an ECU). So why would they run me around the show and not test the simple components that tie to the 4wd system. Supposedly seeming more logical to them to replace the entire brain of the car rather than to see if the legs were working (metaphorical). And so, I think it should be known. I believe this business is dishonest, and what they did was intentional in order to make more money out of me. I only say now as I 'couldn't' question it with my age and knowledge because 'they know best'. Extremely disappointing, I wonder how many victims they have.

   A quick thanks to Stuart and his team for their great service while sorting my car out at their Kaar/Mitsibishi Branch in Henderson. My '08 Mitsi Gal Fortis had a very complex issue and these guys went the extra mile to find the problem and get it sorted while keeping the costs as low as possible - this was refreshing. I found them very knowledgeable and the terminology they used was easy to understand. My car is running superbly now and the refreshing thing about it all is I don't feel like i was ripped off in any way. Yes, I highly recommend them and i'll def go back for my next service.

   Dont ever think that this place is looking out for your best interest or is even listening when you tell them what your budget is and to call you if its over that. Then dont ever think that because of their failure your end bill is going to be in the thousands and that they will give you a chance to take your car to go to work to pay the bill and not only that your children have to walk to school in the cold rain. They simply will not like other small firms give you a break...avoid at all costs and check with places first. Could of saved hassle by calling when it needed to go over budget. And work done could of been done at a fraction of the cost elsewhere and would of sorted out an account and i know this because i took the job sheet in to another mechanic. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
