Hereβs a concise and heartfelt Google review based on what you shared: βΈ» βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ Volunteering with Anxiety New Zealand has been such a beautiful and rewarding experience. Iβve really valued the conversations with people who reach out to the helpline, and itβs been meaningful to offer techniques and strategies that genuinely help, many of which I now use in my own life too. The training was excellent and I felt well-prepared and supported throughout my time as a volunteer. The team provides ongoing guidance through emails, monthly meetings, and access to clinical supervisors when needed. Iβm only stepping back due to other commitments, but Iβm leaving with deep gratitude for everything Iβve learned and for being part of such a caring organisation.

They take atleast 9 working days to just FIX an appointment and God knows how much is the waiting time for actual appointment ( I withdrew my request). And do not expect that they will acknowledge your email, u hv to chase it up. I m sure u r trying to reach out to them for getting some counseling/ for your anxiety etc but let me assure you they will leave no stone unturned to ADD further stress into your life because apparently booking an appointment is rocket science. Such a wastage of time!! Do urself a favour and search sm other organization for your support.

I have just wrapped up 12 months of volunteering on the Anxiety NZ helpline and have had a hugely positive experience. Volunteers are so well supported and I am walking away with a greater knowledge of anxiety disorders and symptoms, experience in working with those experiencing distress, and hugely valuable relationships and connections with other volunteers. I would highly recommend volunteering with this organisation to anyone looking to give back to their community and learn more about themselves in the process.

I have just completed my Work Integrated Learning placement at Anxiety New Zealand and continuing on interning for a year. The team are incredibly welcoming and supportive people. I have had the pleasure of forming some incredible connections with the team and being able to be apart of some really awesome projects. Iβve been able to further advance my professional skills as well as learn a lot of valuable things along the way. This is thanks to the great communication and efforts of such incredibly hard working staff. Most importantly Anxiety NZ has a positive and calming environment to be in, they have really made it a place of belonging. It is a pleasure to be doing my placement for University here, and Iβm looking forward to continuing on.

I recently received treatment at the Anxiety New Zealand clinic at St. Luke's and I can't say enough good things about my experience. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, and I felt at ease as soon as I walked in. They even made me my favorite tea. My clinician was knowledgeable and professional, and I could tell that she truly cared about my wellbeing. The treatment plan she developed for me was tailored to my specific needs, and I found it to be very effective. Overall, I would highly recommend the Anxiety New Zealand clinic at St. Luke's to anyone who is struggling with anxiety or other mental health issues. The staff there truly go above and beyond to provide the best possible care to their clients, and I am so grateful for the help and support they provided me.

For the past 10 months I have volunteered on the ANZT helpline. As someone who is innately nervous and abit shy, applying here was a new challenge. The training was thorough and interesting, allowing plenty of chances for extra support and to socialise. Not only has this line opened my eyes to different people's life experience, but also the importance of helplines for mental health. I have learnt about the various ways anxiety presents itself, how I can help others (and myself) cope with anxiety and to respect the efforts made by volunteers and phone counsellors across NZ. It can be a heavy job, but ANZT works hard to ensure we volunteers have great support to provide NZ with our line 24/7. It is a truly empowering and enjoyable line to work for and I encourage anyone who is interested to volunteer here. Just know that you will be joining an amazing community if you do.

I spent 3 months over lockdown volunteering at AnxietyNZ, and I couldn't say enough good things, all the staff there are so lovely and always willing to help out, teach and share their advice. I learnt many great tools and skills over my time, which I am grateful for as I take them into my new chapter at University. I can't thank the staff enough as they are such a group of hardworking individuals who put all their time and effort into providing the best service and environment for their clients. I look forward to coming and visiting and giving Smokey the cat some cuddles!

I would definitely recommend Anxiety NZ to anyone. The staff are incredibly kind, supportive, and knowledgeable. From the volunteers up to the CEO, everyone in the team have a wonderfully inclusive culture. I have been involved with Anxiety NZ for almost 5 years, and have had nothing but positive experiences with everyone I have had the pleasure of interacting with.

I have been volunteering at Anxiety New Zealand for almost a year now and it's been such an amazing and fulfilling experience. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and the clinic itself has a very homely feel that makes you experience a sense of calm when walking in. It is no surprise that I enjoy volunteering my time here as I actively notice the difference this organisation makes in the lives of people (and not to mention that they have the most lovely cat, Smokey!!).
