   Our mortgage was coming up for refinancing, so we checked our local Facebook page for recommendations. iLender was mentioned often, and since they’re local, we decided to get in touch. The adviser we initially hoped to work with was away, so we were passed on to someone else. At first, we felt confident we were in good hands and would be guided toward a competitive deal. However, the communication quickly became abrupt, with emails losing basic courtesy. More importantly, we were never asked key questions before the bank processed our pre-approval. This oversight caused a five-day delay, followed by an additional nine-day delay. During this time, our mortgage remained on a higher floating rate, costing us unnecessary interest. We requested our situation be esculated for review. However the same person came back to us, and our concerns were essentially ignored. Overall, we ended up losing money and feeling a great deal of regret for choosing this company. It turned what should have been a straightforward refinance into a very stressful experience.
