   Emergency email to Thrive Psychiatry was met with unhelpful responses from receptionist. After requesting escalation, all communication stopped. Disappointing experience after 2 years with Dr. Kacer.

   After paying for a private assesment through another psychiatrist and getting no help or treatment it was such a difference coming to thrive and being taken seriously and given meds to try. They are always friendly and book my followups well in advance and answer any questions I have really fast. Dr Kacer was very easy to talk to and literally has changed my life by allowing me the opportunity to be treated properly and for my needs instead of brushing off my ADHD as trauma or being highly sensitive. I've never been better and will be staying.

   There is a waiting list like all private Psychiatrists but once in the system Dr Kacer is professional, very experienced, accepting, non-judgemental and reassuring. As a 60yr female seeking assessment that was critical. Offers clear explanations, recommendations and choices. Seeks the best treatment for you as an individual. Follow up from administration by email and/or text was timely, efficient, empathetic and professional. I have been attending on line for 2 years and happy to recommend.

   Receptionist was a pain to talk to almost felt like I was the health profession catering to her needs whilst attempting to book an appointment with Dr Kacer. Hopefully, Dr Kacer will prove otherwise and make up for the lack of compassion from his fellow colleague. Not a great start but lets hope for a good finish moving forward.

   Their receptionist was so horrific to deal with, I eventually gave up and went to another psychiatrist. She claimed to not receive forms, cancelled appointments and rescheduled… by 3 months. I’m not joking. Generally didn’t respond to emails, and was obnoxiously rude on the phone. She is apparently famous for it, I know two other patients (who actually recommended dr kacer to me) who laughed and told me horror stories dealing with her. I’d laugh, if this wasn’t a situation where you’re dealing with patients who are mentally struggling. Fortunately I’m ok - but Perhaps have a hard think about your role in society? :)
