    The team here are absolutely amazing. We had an emergency where a friend got a small piece of metal stuck in his eye. He was panicked and in a lot of pain. I called six different optometrists who were all fully booked (completely understandable), but the team at Specsavers Lower Hutt asked if he could come in straight away. They removed the metal, provided eye drops that soothed his eye immediately, and booked him in for a follow-up consultation on Saturday to make sure he’s recovering well. Their service was outstanding, and my colleague is extremely grateful. He said they couldn’t have done a better job. Thank you so much, Specsavers . You guys are great!

    My experience has been one of total pleasure dealing with what felt like all the staff in the store with their professional care and consideration in our interactions - ensuring I understood all they were advising, discussing. So easy to relax, and trust... Would I recommend? most wholeheartedly yes I do and would. In addition I really must say how pleased and delighted I am to discover they are partnered with the highly respected organisation, the Fred Hollows Foundation NZ, who work to deliver eye health care to end avoidable blindness in the Pacific in particular. I didnt think to mention the partnership the two share and support in the survey so I hope its okay here. Its a big ups Specsavers Lower Hutt, I'm proud of the work you do, the morals you have, its important. Thank you Specsavers.

    Took my daughter to specsavers today and they were friendly and fast to help. We were seen straight away and had so much help to find my daughters first pair of glasses. She was nervous about this new change and they made us feel welcome and at ease. So excited to go back and buy myself sum glass. They tryed to give us best deal possible too.

    This was my first experience at an eye doctor in New Zealand and it was so easy and simple! I was able to bring in my previous prescription, get a test, and 2 pairs glasses all under an hour and the glasses only took 2 weeks to arrive. Was a great experience all around

    Specsavers have now moved to the ground floor in Queensgate Shopping Centre and the place looks so clean and amazing. Layout: Specsavers has changed the layout to be way more private for those who are paying for the glasses or having talks with the staff. You first walk in and you are greeted to a more wide open area to look at and tryout glasses. Then the second area is where you speak to the staff and pay for products, this area is around the corner in the back to be more private and more quite. Then there are closed off rooms for the testing that you can have done, while also a being small the rooms branching off in different directions to make it less cluttered. Vibe: The front of the store is nicely lit up with enough light to see where you are in the store, the light behind the glasses draws you towards the displayed glasses and encourages you to try some out. The floor is a nice bamboo wood floor that gets ever so slightly lit up with the lights from the displays. The store uses their logos color theme of white and dark green, they use white on most of the walls but they will use a dark green every now and then to break up the bland walls. Staff Interaction: The staff are really nice and welcoming, if you ever need to ask a question about something feel free to ask as they are there to help you out on any questions you have. When you are paying for products you are guided to either sit at a desk in the back around the corner or if there are none available they guide you to some waiting chairs to sit in. My Interaction: Sharon was the person I was with for picking up the new glasses and testing if they fitted correctly. She is the nicest person ever, she had some questions on how the review system worked as she was curious and she openly listened to what I had to say. When I asked questions she had the knowledge I needed and when she asked questions I answered in the best way I could too. In my opinion she is a very nice person and she is very welcoming to learning new things the customer has to say. I'd say she is one of few people who will listen to me go on and on about something with out beginning to ignore me or try wrap things up to get pasted the subject. -Aaron Austin
