I ordered a banana smoothie. My friend got her drink first. After almost 10 minutes my drink still did not come and it wasnβt that busy. They forgot about it. I went to the counter and spoke to a dark haired man and he kindly said sorry we will make it now.I thought ok no worries and then I heard the blender going which was great but when I got the drink it tasted like water and banana was put in a blender. Not worth the $9. Disappointing.

Spacious cafe tucked away in a bookstore around kids section. They serve variety of soups, and assortments of sandwiches- would recommend fries with bacon very generous portion and the best cheese scones ever!!

The side salad for the toasted sandwiches and paninis is an absolute banger. It's so fresh and compliments the cheesiness of the toasties. Also the location is great with a good view of lambton for people watching and the staff is lovely.

A group of 3 visited the cafe yesterday & were pleasantly surprised with the amount of tables available after going to a couple of other cafes with limited seating. The food options are well priced including cabinet food. Good coffee, quick & friendly service made our catch-up very enjoyable. We finished up but didnt daly for too long as the noon crowd were coming in making tables hot real estate. A great venue.

I meet my elderly Auck friends here everytime they are staying in Wellington. They love the food & the ambience & that it's got a bus stop in both directions outside. I'm not such a fan of some of their food as some of it tastes & looks mass produced (like the custard square or the panini bread). Their carrot cake is nice. Last time I went there I had scrambled eggs with sour dough toast, with Salmon & avocado. The toast tasted like a cheap supermarket sourdough. Not impressed with how thinly it was sliced & that there was no butter to spread on the toast - probably why the eggs were placed straight on the toast? The eggs were brilliantly cooked & if you looked closely you could find a tiny sprinkling of parsley. The extras I got were Avo & Salmon. $5 Avo was firm & beautifully sliced. Two slices of salmon ($6) is what you get for the salmon as an extra. Great ambience, light, airy with an air of spaciousness about the cafe. Easy to find and very popular at lunchtime.

Amazing service. Very high quality food, generous portions, very fresh and tempting. Great range of drinks and amazing smoothies. Coffee is served at the perfect temperature. Fast service and a nice atmosphere. Not noisy and no irritating music so a great place to chat and catch up with others. My new #1 go to place in the CBD.

Good coffee β , great service. Love the ambiance of it being in a bookshop β£οΈ Definitely a place to chill, read a book or meet up with a Fri. Shop then have a coffee. You will not be disappointed.

Friendly service, good variety of food, outstanding coffee and chocolate beverages, and best of all open on New year's Eve! The only thing we struggled with was the absence of a Tobasco (first cafe we've been to that doesn't have some form of hot sauce) and the presentation of the eggs Benedict was in such a way that made it extremely difficult to cut into and eat with cutlery (the knife wouldn't go through the extra crispy bacon and soggy sourdough bread). Some additional thought may be required here to improve this from a technical perspective (perhaps just need sharper knifes?) but flavour wise we enjoyed our food very much.
