   A great space, with friendly and welcoming staff. I cannot recommend Kakapo Ink enough! Yan is an incredible tattoo artist. She skilfully transformed my ideas into a beautiful, precise design with vibrant colours. As it was my first time, and I had asked for late minute changes, I was a quite nervous but on arriving Yan immediately put me at ease. Her gentle and empathetic approach, combined with her immense talent, made the entire experience enjoyable. I couldn't be happier with both the process and the final result. Thanks again!

   I love Kakapo Ink. I recommend them to everyone who's thinking about getting a tattoo. The team are friendly and is a safe place for queer folks. Yan has done many tattoos for me now, from entirely new ones to cover ups, and does an amazing job every time. Super patient and flexible. I will definitely be a regular.

   I've had four tattoos done at Kakapo Ink over the years (first by Luke, the rest by Hannah). Honestly my favourite studio in the city - the current artists are extremely talented, super friendly and do an absolutely fantastic job. Could not recommend Kakapo more. :)

   I cannot speak more highly of Kakapo Ink. My first time, I actually arrived as they were closing, but one of the artists very kindly offered to do my piece anyway. The staff were lovely, knowledgeable, kind and funny. The artist drew up the piece and did an incredible job! It was quick and the detail was immaculate - I am in love with it! Now, I make a point of saving my tattoos for Kakapo and go every time I visit Wellington! Great value for money too!!

   I came here for my second tattoo and loved it! The staff were super friendly and really made me feel at home. Such a unique and cozy place to be. Awesome artwork around the room! Thank you Hannah for my calligraphy piece, it turned out very nicely. Will absolutely be returning here for any pieces in the future. Lovely people!
