   Allied completed "repairs" as part of insurance work after a vehicle hit our home. Their quote was significantly lower than other companies who were approached. Due to this undercut the insurer selected them. Our experience was not positive and I do not recommend. Issues: - the two week job took four weeks, and was not completed in that time frame either. - Damage to the floor. - Damage to the lawn. - They broke the fibre (internet) box and just left it hanging there - Very poor quality skim coating that will required remediation from another company - Missed areas of paint - A box full of ceramics (approx $2-300 value) was thrown out as they mistook the box for rubbish. - They closed a door with wet paint resulting in the paint sticking and tearing. This happened twice, with the second time being immediately after they fixed the first mistake. - The window (brand new) was damaged during install resulting in a crack and never fixed. When we questioned this they claimed this was "normal". Has since been repaired by a seperate company who confirmed it was not normal. - The timber external to the window has swelled/leaked which is usually the result of painting poor or wet timber. - The fixing/replastering of cracked areas re-cracked within days. It appears they make a lot of shortcuts here.A second company has since redone this and the repair has worked. - One window that has a crack in its frame was never repaired. - They planned on making an exterior repair using MDF (interior) and only deviated when I questioned this. - They have turned up 5+ times unannounced during the process. - There was no walk through after work had been complete. We were just told it was complete and came back to a mess, a bunch of broken/damaged things, and poor work. - Communications was poor, and often rude. This includes being aggressive after I called to discuss the state of the house and the broken things we found. - They tried to convince us that the poor standard they exhibited was "normal" and something that "happens during repairs". These issues did not happen with a second company. - The house keys from the lockbox were not returned at the end of the job. We had to follow up to find out what they had done with them.

   Would not recommend this company. The quality of the workmanship is shown in the attached photos. In my current experience we are approx 9 months behind completion date on a NZCB contract, and 7 months since management indicated he was going to complete in 3 weeks.

   Do not engage with this business. They turned up at our door step unannounced for repairs while we haven’t settled on the insurance claim without the authorization and refused to leave until I get my husband on a phone to tell them F off. Then through the insurance claim, we had to buy off the materials they bought by errors BEFORE THE INSURANCE CLAIM settled. It’s beyond unacceptable how they operate their business. Of course we have got the cash out just because we do not want to do anything with this business.
