Did a beginners welding course with Tim and it is absolutely worth it. Gives you good base knowledge of what a good weld is and whatba bad one is and why and gives you the confidence to give it a go. Good tips and tricks as well with proper hands on leaning. Thanks Tim and MakeRoom Wellington!
A great atmosphere, start to getting welding and instructor Tim Blair. Highly enjoyed and inspired to carry on learning. I couldn’t have started making things without their jumpstart.
Tim Blair is an excellent tutor. Pace was perfect, content excellently presented, really approachable. Incredible patience and feedback. Really recommend for women especially wanting to learn the art of welding, Tim's a good guy! I'll be back for advanced lessons.
An excellent course to get you started with welding. Safety, key skills, and time to practice and apply the foundation skills of welding are all part of the course. Tim is patient, encouraging and thorough in his teaching.
A great school holiday option. Harriet loved it. I sat in but didn’t need to be there. Michael was a great instructor and the kids all successfully built their sound effects boxes! Great value for money. Harriet’s really proud of her work and I’m certain will be showing her creation off widely.

I enjoy myself every time I go there and it's a real hands on learning experience that teaches you all sorts of STEAM related subjects. I totally recommend going there if you are someone who is interested in STEAM subjects because you learn so much more.
What a fabulous educational asset for the wider Wellington community. Nigel and his team imbue infectious energy and enthusiasm in all their lessons. Expect to rapidly absorb knowledge and practical skills, all whilst having a ton of fun. Can wholeheartedly and unreservedly recommend for all ages. STEM comes alive at Makeroom.
