Booked a pick up online for an early flight. Called to ask what price it would roughly be and was told around $158.00. Said I’d call back to either confirm or cancel once I checked with the person who would be paying. She said she’d note that down. Called back and a man answered. I just said I wanted to confirm a booking I called about an hour earlier. He asked for the pick up address and drop off location. He then said that would be $25.00. I said I think you may have the wrong suburb for the pick up location as I was quoted around $158.00 when I called an hour prior. He said “Oh yes based on that location it would be around $171.00” I said oh she said she wrote a note on my booking and that’s slightly more than I was told an hour ago then before I could finish my sentence he said “You were not quoted a price, we do not do that that’s not how it works they are metered and there are no notes written, we don’t write notes on bookings” I said I understood that I just didn’t know how the person before told me a different estimated fare and that I was unaware why she told me she would write a note when they don’t do that according to him? He then said “the person before obviously told you false information. What time did you want to be collected?” I said 3am and that it should be on my booking from when I booked online and called. He then said “what is it that you want?” I said “um I want to confirm the booking I made so I can let the person going to the airport know it is all sorted” he then said “I have told you that it is confirmed what else do you want” I then replied “you never once confirmed the booking, you didn’t even know the time for collection or the correct suburb but thanks that’s all I need” and hung up. RUDE RUDE person with a horrible tone of voice and attitude. This call was made at around 9:25pm on 23/07/2023 so hopefully you can find out who the rude person was.

Driver was fine. This company has started using a $3.80 surcharge for paying by eftpos! Not for credit or pay-wave just good old fashioned eftpos! I encourage you to use any other company than this pack of price gougers.

At 11:50 am I asked a Combined Taxi driver to move his taxi and not to park in the motorcycle parking on College St, out side Cafe Laffare. My request was answered with a bararge of negative, vulgar and abusive language from the driver , who even approached me in a threatening manner. I remained in my vehicle and continued to ask him to move on several times and eventually he did. So much for Combined Taxes Professional Driver's, no manners, unreasonable , not safety concerned . More like lazy, arrogant, abusive and aggressive. I don't recommend this Taxi Company and suggest they put more effort into their driver training and coustomer service. Very Poor indeed. I wonder how Taxi drivers like other driver's using Taxi stands for parking . Maybe we should all start doing that and see what sort of response we get . I guarantee it won't be very nice. Combined Taxes Failure.
