Worst law firm in the entire world, They do NOT defend their clients at all and use every opportunity to drain their clients of their money. They had no respect at all for my situation it was like they were against me when they are meant to me helping and defending me! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THEM
Actually wouldn't give them any stars. This firm is so deceitful, do they even consider their clients or after a quick dollar. Honestly, if you are naive about the law go somewhere else because they don't act in your best interest or keep you informed, and beware if you come across the words enrolled barrister and solicitor. Merv needs to retire and stay away from Gemma Macdougall who has started her own business. Jagged and crooked.
The staff are so friendly, the lawyer we saw absolutely knew his job, guided us on a few points and thankfully helped sort all the legality out quickly.
Merv and Nicola have served our family well over the past 10 years. Would recommend their professionalism and wise support when we were dealing with a very difficult family matter protecting our interests yet maintaining family relationships. Merv handled this matter with sensitivity and strength.
Mervyn Gaskin was excessively rude and defensive. As a Notary Public he was required to read the instruction that any writing was to be using a black pen. This was pointed out to him but he continued using a blue pen. Hence another trip to him was required to fill out the papers using a black pen. He then proceeded to charge again for his service when it was his fault. He argued that it was not his fault???? Isn't he supposed to read instructions as a qualified lawyer. As for demanding payment twice for his mistake is despicable. Finally he agreed to refund 50% of the second payment.
I had used Grigg and LePage in the past when buying a house 8 years ago. JAG took on these clients and I tried using them to sell my house early this year (pre-covid). Their level of service was shockingly bad. It was almost impossible to get a hold of them on the phone and it took days for them to respond to my urgent emails. I fired them and found a lawyer that was far more knowledgeable and kept me informed of every development.
