    Sadly there is nothing "Family" about the Family Therapy Collective they have a massive basis against Fathers. Actively working to exclude them. They will happily pretend to make contact and then carry on without the Father being involved. Having had a lengthy complaint in with Health and Disability Commissioner, their lies have been believed. I’m now faced with writing to the Minister of Health and talking to the media. I would recommend avoiding the Family Therapy collective as all costs if you care about your family and having the Father involved and fairly represented.

    After years of solo-parenting, and thinking I could handle everything myself (or wanting to), it became apparent that my son (13M) needed outside help. A GP referred us to Youth Help Hub. What I thought would be a handful of sessions for my son turned into "family therapy". We were welcomed with a smile, a calm voice, and treated with respect and a non-judgemental attitude from the outset. Both separately, and together, my son and I were given space to express ourselves and our individual frustrations. Mountains were divided into conquerable mole hills with easy-to-understand strategies, and in only a few sessions the atmosphere of our home changed. If you want, and commit to, change, then the service offered by Youth Health Hub is an invaluable tool for any family.
