Very shady insurance company! Do not go with them! We built a new house mid 2019, after paying them for years for house insurance, we suddenly had a loss of supporting soil on the pathway from prolonged period of rain in Auckland, causing the drain pipes to break from the top pathway pressure. We filed a claim for the first time and Vero declined it saying "no defined event" caused it, even after we gave them the plumber's report clearly stating what the "defined event" was, and Vero still repeatedly saying "No defined event" and would not give us further explanation why they say so even after looking at the report! Their email replies were also very brief and non-informative, reads like just a machine automated replies or from someone that just simply don't care! We genuinely feel disheartened and scammed into believing that we were insured until something happened, then they just shut the doors refused to honour the claim! Will never trust Vero ever again and anyone thinking going with them, be aware! You are likely just throwing money away without actually being insured!

I share same bad experience as the other with a worst situation where they approved my claim and later came asking for double the excess, when I refused they didn't returned my car and treated me to invoice the full amount of the fix. Isn't it extortion?

Service is disgraceful, Vero Has Absolutely no regard for customer service. Being a consumer affairs manager for over 20 years, they have no regard for clients, even after asking Cheryl from property claims why their service so slow, her response was she sees nothing wrong with it, no empathy or sympathy in totality, which is one of the main emotions required when working with clients. 20 days and still waiting for a claim to get processed for a simple household appliance. Itβs like they play a game, send an email, wait for the client to respond, and then wait two days to respond. Wonβt recommend them as a service provider and will definitely be looking for a a different service provider, Rather tragic 0 for service!

Have full insurance, person hit my car end of November, claim was accepted December 3rd, but canβt get my car repaired because there collection people are finding it hard to contact the party at fault - even though everything was provided to them - including police report. Has been nearly 3 months nowβ¦ shocking! What is the point in paying for insurance at this stage. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL.

Worst experience. Deserve no stars. I have been a customer for over 5 years now and the claim process is so convoluted and inhumane. They are happy to take your premiums with no touch and come the time of a claim, they will outsource to 5 levels and after months and months of dragging, will pass on the claim to a different department after so many changes in staff.

The worst experience to date I have ever had. They donβt care, donβt follow up, and donβt seem to have any process. Then they blame third party partners. Waited 2 hours today to speak to someoneβ¦then finally called and placed back on hold all over again. Effected by the floods- good luck. Our claim has just gone round in circles for weeks and weeks- every time I have to call them they will not call you back or explain where the process is at, nothing at all..zero. As soon as we can we will change insurance providers- I would advise you stay the hell away from them as well. If you actually bother to read this Vero sort your S**T out.

I have a F&G policy with Vero via a Body Corporate through Apex brokers. I have been trying to obtain Coc's (Confirmation of Cover Certificates) for a dual insurance claim since 1 November 2022. I have sent several emails including an email making a formal complaint and a follow up when i did not get a response. I tried telephoning twice. First time they were unable to take my call "through circumstances beyond their control". I wonder who was in control , if anyone, and the second time I was on hold for over 2 hours before their system cut me off. This is a very simple request but the only response I have had was to my third follow up email that said "forwarded via website". I had asked for a name and direct dial number. Request ignored. Every other email has also been ignored. I will refrain from petty insults to the quality of their service or complaints procedure or their intelligence. Suffice to say I can't believe that in NZ we have a Corporate whose systems and staff can only be described as totally incompetent. I see by other posts I am not the only one to experience difficulty with their level or standard of communication. I say to CEO Roger Bell you should be ashamed of this level of performance under your watch. You too, have ignored my email. I take being ignored seriously and I am wondering if I should share my experience with the Board Membersor even Fair Go. I am retired but in 45 years of working in the Banking, Finance and Insurance industries I have never experienced anything, so bad it even comes close. The worst part is after over 6 weeks and many hours of my time wasted I am still waiting. They don't even get one star I am so angry with them. Oh I have to give them one star or I am unable to post this review.
