Great service and friendly staff! After starting an uncommon med I was ringing around trying to find stock when Kilbirnie pharmacy offered to order it in for that afternoon. When I came in the staff were very friendly, and the pharmacist sat me down to make sure I knew how to take I it safely, provided items to administer it, and answer any questions. First time coming here, will definitely come back! 10/10

A friendly locally owned pharmacy. All the people there are helpful and courteous, and most have been there for years which speaks well of them as employers. A true community asset.

The pharmacists we've dealt with have been excellent. Listening and helping. We had some shots today and it was almost pleasant. Very lighthearted, reducing tension. It sometimes doesn't seem structured but it always comes out excellent. They seem to do an awful lot. THanks all there.

I would not recommend this pharmacy because of the poor treatment I experienced from the pharmacist. She was very dismissive and implied I was not going to take my child to the doctors when I was asking her for something to help with my child’s comfort in the interim time while we were travelling back to our home town. She quite loudly shared my child’s medical issues through a patronising explanation when the shop had multiple customers around to hear. The front counter assistant was really lovely and dealt so well with all the customers so it is a shame that the pharmacist let the place down. Probably best not to deal with this pharmacy if discretion and support is what you are looking for.

great, friendly, quick service but there's one guy who works at the back and the counter who on purpose deadnames me and talks about my medications in the middle of pharmacy to me. i've stopped being able go go because of the discomfort and severe anxiety this and some other staff members passive aggressive behaviour. it is good service and convenient i guess besides those but id go to the one fight next to it instead maybe.

I called the Pharmacy, was asked to hold. Please note I could hear the staff talking to customers though the phone (names and all). I was able to hear everything clearly. I had been waiting for a few mins when I hear one staff member say to the person who had told me to hold "is there someone on this line" and they replied no and I then got disconnected. I can understand it might have been busy but they could have at least checked the phone itself to see if anyone was on the line. It might also be good to consider a proper hold system as the fact that I could hear peoples names and details via the phone is probably not good.

It's entirely possible that this is a one off and not indicative of the usual standard of service and courtesy afforded to customers, but I was greeted by a very hostile and openly rude member of staff when attempting to pick up RATs at the back entrance as instructed. I tried to give the staff member the benefit of the doubt and attempted to make light of the initial interaction only for her to double down on the rudeness, which confirmed to me that I hadn't misread the encounter. I understand that it must be frustrating when people don't see your signs, but surely you have to ask yourself if you're constantly having to point them out to the extent that you can't do it without being rude, whether they're visible enough in the first place. I will also accept the possibility that a customer facing role might not have been the best career move for this particular member of staff. I would recommend going elsewhere unless you really don't have a choice.

This place gets pretty much everything right. In my experience, nearly every single staff member is fantastic at their job and will treat you like a dignified human being. As some of the other reviews have expressed however, one of the pharmacists seems to struggle with showing empathy when serving customers. The vast majority of the people that work here are empathetic and caring, but the pharmacist in question seemed to miss that memo. She should also look at interaction checkers before making prohibitive statements on combinations that aren't actually unsafe, at least according to multiple other qualified pharmacists that didn't dismiss my request without knowing for sure. Kindness, or at least faking empathy, goes a long way in customer service. 5 stars, because I don't think it's fair that one staff member should be able to affect the reputation of an otherwise satisfactory business to this extent. I hope she is aware that this is how she is perceived. Edit: she seems to be a lot nicer to me these days which is good. This place is all in all a solid pharmacy and I look forward to seeing the people that work there when I go in.

A five star is given for the exceptional customer service I ALWAYS get from THE loveliest, most helpful person in this pharmacy...Gayle is her name. Always goes above and beyond to help me. Now that there is a change of ownership we won't have to deal with the rude and abrupt female pharmacist owner....maybe that she's retired now she'll be a bit happier! Well done Gayle...in my opinion you save this business.
