    I booked with world care for a six month trip through Europe and South Africa. I had to claim when my phone was stolen in the UK, and they were quick to respond and it was a no fuss, easy as experience. They covered everything over the excess in a timely manner. I'd recommend them. My parents used them for travelling to South Africa, and while they didn't have to claim, when my dad first booked and paid for their insurance the name came back completely wrong, he couldn't find the details in his email to quote to them and he had to call them to fix it - which they did, quickly. So great experience for me, ok experience from my parents.

    Worst experience ever do not book. Just pay the extra for Southern Cross travel insurance they will never let you down!!!! It’s been over a month since I submitted my claim. The claim process was extremely complicated and painful and wasted hours of my time and i have had barely any communication from them since. I wish that I had not been so budget and just paid the extra few hundred for decent reputable insurance. -1000000 stars !!!!!!!

    Don't Use Worldcare We travel a lot and always purchase travel insurance. We are careful to read the policy wording so we understand exactly what we are covered for and our responsibility. In the case of Worldcare I even called ahead to find out the process in the event of an accident. I was told all I had to do was call and advise what happened and what action I had taken. I apparently did not have to call ahead if it was an emergency. This is all fairly standard. I had a skiing accident and was taken off the mountain in the blood bin, transferred to an ambulance and then taken to the ED. My husband called Worldcare and was told coverage could not be confirmed because it was outside business hours in New Zealand and that we would be "cost liable" in the meantime. I called back thinking there had been some mistake. Nope! It was Easter Saturday and no confirmation of cover was available until Tuesday - 4 days after the event! The ED doctor wanted to do a CT scan. The "nurse" from Worldcare told me that isn't what they would do "in Australian" and why didn't he want to do an x-ray. It was an unbelievable situation. I dragged myself off the bed, full of pain meds and went home to await further advice and confirmation from Worldcare. Despite many phone calls and emails the confirmation came 5 days after the event and only because I kept calling every day. The whole situation was extremely stressful and I was left with no option but to take pain meds and hope that things would be ok. Insurance with Worldcare was worse than no insurance. With no insurance I could have been seen and had the imaging done. The ED doctor was appalled at the apparent lack of care UPDATE 14/7/23 The situation worsens. This is a simply claim - cost is minimal. Still not settled. I am receiving threatening texts from the provider. Worldcare responding with inane emails (code for delay tactics) asking me to forward invoices, emails etc AGAIN. It seems I will need to report this to the insurance ombudsman. This is the worst company ever. It is beyond ridiculous!

    Our travel insurance provider / policies of choice having looked at quite a few. Flexible policies with a number of options. Staff helpful when we needed to talk to them and generally quick response. Premiums reasonable

    We have found this company HOPELESS to deal with. The last we heard from them was 27 days ago. They just kept asking for documents we have already supplied and now no communication from them at all. This is worse than no insurance at all.
