Put in a claim for important upcoming procedure received an email confirming it had been received and would get a response within 10 days. No response came, tried getting in touch but no reply from Partners Life at all. Had to cancel the procedure and all appointments. So I've been paying for a service they are not able to supply.

I'll never recommend partners Life Insurance. I have paid 6 year's payments to the company and got nothing. They just sent a simple letter once a year to take the payments every month. No any other contacts, no emails. And very slow response. They only care about taking your money. When I requested to cancel the policy, they just tried to create all sorts of obstacles to prevent you from cancelling the policy. The client support staff was not professional and was not polite or patient, when you show your unsatisfying she'll hang up your call while you are speaking. The team manager made excuses to defend her unprofessional team member. They didn't care about customers at all. Based on the bad experiences with these insurance companies Partner Life and Nib etc, I feel their life insurances and trauma insurances are like scam, it's hard to get approved when you apply it.

I’ve had a fantastic experience my insurance consultant Alana Smith. Always friendly, honest, and incredibly helpful. She takes the time to clearly explain everything and guide me to the right cover for my needs. I truly appreciate her professionalism and on going supportβ€”highly recommended!

I have been diagnosed with a terminal illness. It happened almost 5 months ago . The insurance company was informed 4 months ago. I have undergone a full examination and I've been getting treatment for two months. However, the insurance company still does not have enough information. They have no desire to help, no compassion. They just try to do everything to avoid fulfilling their obligations.

Im a Licenced Financial Adviser who recommends Partners life Life for my clients on a regular basis. (and have been for the last 10 years) The main reasons are 1) Their products rate highly according to independant research. 2)They are prompt and caring at claim time. 3)They are prompt in responding to service requests. Keep it up Partners life.

Like every business in the world, this one too can't possibly know what their service is going to cost to provide 3, 5 or 10 years into the future, but at least they have a go, and more often they are close, in my 20 years experience of dealing with this insurer and others like them. If you weren't all making so many claims on your policies the premiums would certainly be lower than they are, and Partners also suffers in this respect by being one of the more generous in terms of the scope of cover. But you can't help getting sick, or hurting yourself, or getting cancer. If what you have is not excluded from your policy (you know, that thing they sent you that you didn't read) then you'll get paid. A claim has to be fair and legit before it gets paid. That makes sense for all of us, because we're all helping you get paid with the money we spend on premiums. Sure you can buy personal insurance cheaper elsewhere, but you can also buy $1 loaves of bread, and $15 shoes, if you don't care about quality, only price. Given you most likely will only need to claim on a life insurance policy once, I don't know why you'd buy a low-rent version full of exclusions (yep, those cheap ones have a lot of those) This should be the one thing you buy a good version of, surely? And really, was your experience with Partners really that bad that it was worth just one star, or are you just being petulant?

I would be careful selecting this provider. After our 3rd year anniversary, our premiums are miles higher than the 5 year projection they gave us initially. Every year the same line is used "base cover increase that only happens every 10 years". Strange that this has happened in two consecutive years. I wish I had read all these reviews before signing up with Partners Life.

My family has benefitted from medical insurance from Partners Life for the past 11 years. The insurance cover is extensive, far more so than the 'big name' insurer in NZ, yet Partners Life premiums are very affordable too.

I have been unimpressed with partners life in terms of customer service. Their coverage is ok, but I found better for less elsewhere. Annoyed they do not get back to you and have hefty hikes in premiums. Still waiting for a response to my request to cancel insurance with them.

Visited their website because BNZ have sold their rights to take care of my Life Insurance affairs. Yet, without a doubt, I am not satisfied that this is right for me. Their site does not show me anything appealing. I prefer to have access at the touch of my fingers & I did not get this, or, was I ever asked if I would like to have my policy under a different umbrella! Not impressed!
