while friendly at first and offered practical advice my lawyer at vlatkovich & mcgowan was unprofessional, unsupportive and a poor listener. she discussed shopping sprees with other lawyers in front of clients/support people/opposition. I continually felt judged and lesser than due to my circumstances at the time. she dismissed my requests claiming they were unachievable. at no point did she delve into why I wanted to do things the way I did. and when I explained my reasons she told me to "stop playing the victim". she spoke badly of other clients to me. she did not use names however I found this uncomfortable. she spoke badly of the opposition during breaks which reminded me of gossiping at high school. I was told I could see her at the whangaparaoa branch being my local. i saw her there once but had to make a trip to mount eden numerous times. closing my file was a long tedious process. overall a very negative experience.
