   Quite possibly the hardest and most rewarding journey I've been on, other than parenthood. JKS North Shore prides itself on building minds, hearts and bodies. It takes hard work and determination, and, boy oh boy, it's tough sometimes, but, under the guidance of world-class senseis, you can rest assured that your efforts will pay off and you will find your reward at the end of every class. JKS North Shore is open to all ages, young and old. If you've ever considered a martial arts journey where you don't pay-your-way, but instead earn every single belt through sweat and tears (and then more sweat) - this is the dojo for you. Sensei Sean is a rarity. He teaches courage, strength and resilience and commands respect, but is always fair and has a big heart. A true sensei who cares about his students and developing their potential. Come and give this a try. Bring your best attitude and a towel. You will not regret it - no matter how old you think you are.

   JKS Shotokan Karate has been great for my boys (ages 8 and 6). Along with the physical challenge, the games, and some discipline (push ups if you don't listen!), it's such a tangible way for them to learn how to set goals and then work towards them. They're both motivated to get their yellow belts this year. Thanks Sean, Chris, Gerhard, Marcel, and Jake.

   My kid just loves training with Sean and Team, she has grown from strength to strength, the best decision we made was to let her enter the world of karate, thanks to Sean and Team for all the help and support!    My son joined JKS 3 years ago, as a Little Tigre, his hoping to receive his Brown belt this year. His put in a lot of hard work and effort into his training, but this couldn't have been achieved without his sensei's tireless dedication & commitment to the club. Karate has taught my son to achieve his goals as well as giving him strength in character. Would definitely recommend, it's a fun challenging sport.

   My son and I have been going to jks north shore for a year and a half now, I’ve found sensei Sean to be very passionate about karate and an excellent teacher. He has a high level of expectation from his students and wants them to be the best they can be. The little tigers class is also excellent, sensei James is very good with the kids. Great atmosphere and people!

   I have been training here for about 7 years now, and Karate has really helped in my development as a person. As well as technique, Karate also teaches strength, discipline and respect. Sensei Sean is a great teacher and mentor, and us students have learnt so much from him. He makes sure to have members of the club involved in gradings and regional events when possible, which is beneficial for all the students. Come on in whether you are young or old, the club is suitable for all ages and Sean will have the patience to train anyone!
