Just went i to look at the 2 different child carriers available . One carrier was on the floor and the other a display unit . Apparently the display units can not be taken down to view how does that work

Staff are helpful but this place is literally 3x expensive for the same products for no reason, I genuinely don't understand
I came there to inquire about the warranty of a Macpac jacket I own. The jacket is 1.5 years old but rarely used. The fabric of the pocket was teared, probably because of my nails ( I put my hands in my pocket often) The Macpac website suggests that the warranty is not rigidly based on time (like 1 year, etc). Rather, how long a fabric should last. Any fabric that abnormally damaged before its time should able to claim for warranty. That was why I inquire why the pocket fabric was so weak and easily teared just because of my hand (or nails). I don't expect this kind of quality from Macpac. I initially talked to the cashier before they referred me to probably the manager (middle age lady with pony tail and glasses). They lady was so rude and not welcoming! Accusing me and telling me that the tear was because I put my keys inside the pocket. I told her I never do that. She refused to believe and keep telling that the tear is because of what I put in the pocket. Her reasoning? Because she does that!!! So what? If you do it doesn't mean everybody does it! She adamantly say "we don't know what happen, etc". Well, I told you what the reason was. I got annoyed and stormed off the shop and decided to go to another Macpac. And I was right. I found another Macpac with much friendy staff / manager. Had more trust and did not have negative mindset. They accepted my jacket and voila! My jacket is now repaired under warranty. We are a Macpac family. 95% of our Jacket and winter gear are Macpac. And I confidently say that I will not buy Macpac from Albany branch anymore. Other should also consider when buying from Macpac Albany branch with this kind of aftersales from them. Really disappointed!
I had a truly wonderful experience at this store. The staff were excellent, and I want to especially commend the lady who was working on a Saturday afternoon—she deserves the Employee of the Year award for her outstanding customer service. She made me feel genuinely welcome and confident in making my purchase. Her professional advice was clear, informative, and made the decision-making process so much easier. I’m sincerely grateful for her help.
Great new look with knowledgeable staff and awesome products
Encountered a very helpful lady called Nadia, who was over and above helpful with my wanting to get a replacement harness and hip straps for my vintage (34 yo)Macpac Cascade pack. Sending to chch to get repairs or upgrade done as required, I've already personalised my old pack so want to keep it, but make it comfortable for my older body. Fully recommend.
I bought a pair of Macpac carbon fiber hiking poles that boasted a lifetime warranty years ago. However, my enthusiasm waned when I encountered a problem: one of the plastic parts unexpectedly broke. Hoping to take advantage of the warranty, I approached Macpac for assistance, only to be informed that their understanding of a lifetime warranty aligns with the anticipated lifespan of the product, which they claimed to be around 3 to 4 years. Despite the poles being in excellent condition, suggesting there is plenty of life left in them, I was left disappointed as my warranty claim was denied. This experience was truly disheartening.

The staff are super friendly and helpful! I was served by a nice gal and lad, unfortunately didn't catch their names. Such a good customer experience! Helped me find the product and size I was looking for even though it was a bit busy. Would definitely recommend this store!
