Came in today to purchase paint to freshen up my house, Jacob was very helpful with explaining and giving advice as to what type of paint to based on my requirements he also assisted suggested a color scheme that would work for the property (a rental) and my planned color choice to go with the new carpet. Excellent customer service. Piers is fantastic to deal with and has done a brilliant job of installing our new blinds at home. Jacob is awesome helping us with the choosing and ordering of paint and wallpaper. Our house interior looks amazing with the colour choices.

I have been very happy with the service and advice Piers and Jacob gave me on my curtains and blinds. It was difficult ordering products at the tail of Covid, I am however very pleased with the result all looks great.
We have dealt with Guthrie Bowron in Porirua for many years now and have always had top notch service and quality advice. We have been dealing with Amber, Jacob and Piers over a few months now in sorting out new curtains and wallpaper for part of our home and considering how long it has taken us to make our final choices on fabric and colours, we are surprised that we have not worn out our welcome in their store. Rather than that being the case, they have all gone out of their way to help us out with their expert advice/guidance and knowledge of the current market and colour trends. Yes, due to COVID things may have taken a bit longer but everyone has stayed in touch which is what us customers like. Even after the new curtains were recently hung, we got Amber back to sort out a wee issue that we had and she was only to happy to respond quickly to our call for help. We highly recommend the team at Guthrie Bowron in Porirua City based on their friendly nature and helpful knowledge.
We needed a particular Berger garage floor paint. From first contact, Tony was on to it and the tricky bits we ordered arrived at the store before the expected date, even. Amber accommodated the tinting, good naturedly on Saturday and by Sunday the paint was going on. It looks great. But the essence of service is what we found with this team. They knew what they were doing, made it happen, and did it willingly.
Under new management - theyβve given the store a makeover - it looks great .... the team are nice and friendly ... definitely worth a visit
