Karens friendly, patient manner was very calming and she spent a lot of time explaining the details to us as first time cruisers. We greatly appreciated her expertise and wonderful sense of humour. She made the booking process effortless.
We have traveled extensively for over 40 years, often booking ourselves, but frequently using an agent when requiring a level of expertise. I have no hesitation in saying that Tania has proven on more than one occasion to be “worth her weight in gold”. Her attention to detail when looking at options and bookings, and going the extra mile when we have had an issue has been invaluable. We would not consider using anybody else.
Naomi was brilliant. I came into the travel office without an appointment and she saw me straight away, I learnt that Rarotonga was heavily booked during the week I wanted but she, nevertheless, persevered and found me an ideal place that suited me down to the ground. I was delighted! I returned the next day to finalise everything and Naomi sorted all my issues with ease - such a real professional. She was friendly and very supportive for a client with the usual pains of old age. She made sure that by flight would be comfortable and also ensured that I would save money on my rental car. I couldn't ask for better service and if I travel again after 2025 House of Travel (and Naomi) will be my agency of choice.

Very rude woman. When you meet someone with "How are you today?"- and you only get a "..good" and a blank stare you know you've hit the jackpot of customer service. Clearly she had more important work to finish than selling flights. She was angry just at the fact I was interrupting her arvo office tasks...and then I had to wait 2 days for her to book my flight?? Haha - you can do that instantly, online...in 2023! I came here for help and I just got the rude treatment. 100% never bringing my business here.
Great Service from Karen at house of travel in Milford, Auckland. I cant stress enough how brilliant her service has been. Super professional, efficient and a great cheerful person to work with for my travel plans. She documented and outlined alll the really important detail that can easily be missed. She gave me peace of mind and its great to know I can get her or one of the team of on the phone when I may need them. Certainly much better than dealing directly with some airlines in a call centre that could be anywhere! Thanks so much! This is why I keep coming back again and again.
It has been on my bucket list to do a solo trip to Europe but Covid has messed my plans up. Since my trip is a bit complicated because it is a mixture of adventure, exploration and catching up with mates between Europe, Asia and Australia, Marie has been superb in taking note of each detail I provided to her. She has been very flexible and attentive to my needs. She was able to look for flights and other land arrangements that suit my travel itinerary. She even was able to check up on me during my trip which was a nice gesture - it clearly shows she is still tracking where I am and if there are any hiccups or assistance that I still need. Now that 6 week trip is over, I will definitely keep Marie in my radar for my future travel needs. Thank you so much Marie for providing excellent service. The lady I spoke to on the phone was very rude and unwelcoming, however the Travelex representative (Jai) working there was very helpful
Extremely poor service. I advised by phone before making an appointment that I only wanted to book a hire car and hotel rooms. The lady took the details by phone then nothing extra at the appointment. The next day I received an email saying that they couldn't provide English speaking guided tours because I had left it too late, so they couldn't help me. It was a complete waste of my time and energy. I advised that by email. No apology or attempt to fulfill my request.
