   Escape Quest was a fantastic escape room experience in NZ and easily satisfied our puzzle-solving itch. From the moment we arrived, the host was super friendly and welcoming, which instantly set a great tone for the whole session. They explained everything clearly and kept the energy fun and relaxed, making the experience even more enjoyable. We tried the Christmas-themed room, which was a first for us, and it honestly exceeded expectations. The theme was creative, immersive, and well put together without feeling gimmicky. The puzzles were clever and engaging, offering a solid challenge that made us think without feeling frustrating or unfair. Everything flowed really well, and it felt rewarding as we progressed through the room. You could tell a lot of care went into the design and overall experience. It struck a great balance between fun, challenge, and immersion. If you enjoy escape rooms—whether you’re a beginner or have done plenty before—Escape Quest is well worth visiting. We left feeling accomplished, entertained, and already keen to try their other rooms next time.

   My friend and I wandered in on a whim and did our first ever escape room. We loved the themes and the rooms were actually a great mental challenge! It was a good balance of challenging tasks, puzzles and word play and good ol fashioned sleuthing. The team were so nice and super responsive with handy tips when we did get stuck. Somehow we made it out with like 20 seconds left on the clock XD. Loved it! Will defs be coming again.

   I went to Escape Quest today for my birthday and had such a great time! Sebastian was amazing – super helpful, friendly, and approachable, which made us all feel relaxed right from the start. He was very accommodating, even with some friends who don’t speak English, and made sure everyone felt included. The whole experience was so much fun! He also introduced us to VR Escape Rooms and explained everything clearly. Excellent customer service and a great atmosphere. We’ll definitely be coming back ! P.s. I love the photos that we took + the props - haven’t experienced that before in an escape room ! Great for making memories for sure :))

   We loved our family outing at Escape Quest. The staff, and in particular Bradley, were welcoming and authentic, and the Escape Room had a good mix of logical and cryptic clues to keep us engaged. The right mix of challenging and do-able. I liked that the rooms were locally designed by real people, too. Thanks team!

   Awesome. 10/10. My partner and I had a great time here. We did the room set in early colonised NZ, with a gang that ran wild during that time. The puzzles were varied, very creative, well crafted, and kept us looking for different approaches to each puzzle. The person looking after us, Emma I think?, was super lovely. Will come back again and do a different room when I’m back in town.

   Very very well done escape rooms. They are challenging, yet achievable and have a variety of typical padlocks to get into as well as touch screen and mag locks too. The staff were also a good laugh. We will be back!

   We did the Murder at the Prince of Wales and an outdoor escape room on separate days. The in-room one was great and a good level of challenging. But the outdoor escape room is not really something I’d recommend for adults. Clues were too easy and the storyline was pretty lacking. Next time I’d like to try the VR experience!

   Was an absolutely awesome experiance. It's the first escape room me and my brother have ever done and it was a blast figuring out all the puzzles. The puzzles were logical and everything made sense in the end, and the clues were enough to get us thinking without giving the whole game away. Would highly recommend if you're in town and want to have a fun experience.
