Rented a suit jacket and pants for one day of use and was forced to buy the pants on return. Staff accused me of machine washing the pants after spotting standard wear and tear which was likely there before I even used the pants as if I was too stupid to know that suits require dry cleaning. Recommend going somewhere else for rentals or taking lots of pictures of the suit when you pick them up to avoid being force sold the suit after a few hours of use.

Deserve zero star! Worst customer service ever! Treated rudely. The staff rolled her eye when I came in while I was smiling to them, and they had discrimination about what I wore. I then was asked to leave just because I wore casually. Come on, can't believe this happens in nowadays. Won't recommend to anyone at all .

Zero star actually! My wife was asked to go for an interview early today at Rembrandt Takapuna. She worn a grey jumper and a pair of blue jeans, and she was not indicated what to dress beforehand either by email or text. She took a bus there. She walked into the store with a smile in her face and greeted the two ladies and let them know that she came for an interview, but one lady rolled her eyes and gave my wife a cold shoulder. The other lady who claimed she was Jeanette, the owner of the store, didn’t greet my wife as well and asked my wife rudely to get out and wait at the coffee shop opposite to Rembrandt. Jeanette came out with two pieces of paper in two minutes and asked my wife to leave and said there was no interview today as my wife didn’t dress formally. My wife explained to Jeanette that she didn’t have formal dress, and she was not indicated beforehand by any form. Jeanette insisted that my wife should leave immediately even outside her store and asked where my wife stayed at. My wife told her and said it took her 33 stops by the bus, and she was OK if she was denied for the role after the interview as this happened in life, but mutual respect was a must. Jeanette repeated that my wife didn’t dress formally, and she had to leave. This was such a rude behaviour, and no indication was given to the job applicant beforehand. What if the customer with casual dress comes to the store, do they get served or not? Or the store owner and staff just judge whether the customer would buy something by what they wear. I have been fuming after my wife told me what had happened and for me this was discrimination, and it was racial discrimination as well. Jeanette had my wife's resume and knew where she was from before the interview anyway. It was such a bad experience, and we won’t recommend your brand to any of our friends and family. The two ladies' behaviours, especially Jeanette, have more than worse.

If i could give zero stars I would. Absolutely horrible service from this branch. Good quality clothing but terrible customer service and organisation on their behalf. My husband ordered 2 black suits for his groomsmen well in advance… they gave him one black suit and one blue suit. For big events like weddings, this kind of stuff should not be happening. The lady then tried to blame my husband saying he was indecisive anyway but my husband had initially confirmed the 2 rental black suits with the retail assistant/manager. Sorry doesn’t cut it when it’s too late to order again in time for a wedding. We were told sorry and given free socks and some type of refund… but seriously. Do better, I would hate for this to happen to someone else on their special day.

To say I am disappointed with this business doesn't come close. I made an appointment online, spoke to the shop staff the following morning, spent the following day organising myself, only to arrive at the store with 2 hours left before I needed the hire suit only to be told at that point they don't do same day hires! I have gone back and reviewed the website and there is no mention of this. The shop staff never mentioned anything although I mentioned this morning I needed the suit for tonight. I travelled 65km to be there and now have had to miss attending a 10 year anniversary due to this! Pathetic at best and would recommend anyone requiring a hire suit to go to Frank Caseys. Never had an issue with FC previously.. but this place. Disgusted

My first time shopping at a Rembrandt store. I had a really professional, welcoming visit in store at Takapuna recently. Jeanette was a very helpful and accomodating ambassador for the brand and she has a great sense of humour which made the experience of shopping for several suits very enjoyable. There was a slight mishap after sale with crediting the points to the same account but this was handled in such an impassioned, genuine and communicative way until resolved. I haven’t before experienced such strong sense of customer experience at any retail chain before and Justin believes in making sure the customer is valued. Thank you team! This will definitely become a regular visit!
