Went into this shop while visiting the area. Picturesque inside with reasonable selection. a retail assistant (name vickie?) seemed stressed out, speaking loudly on the phone and to other staff. unfortunately that staff member detracted from my shopping experience and i felt i had to leave.
I love this tribe of the fabulous people. Had a lovely evening meeting designer's. JPalm, love your mahi! Thank you to the beautiful team who always take care of me. I had such a good time and left with stunning finery.
The team at The Shelter are lovely, always so happy to help, with so many beautiful pieces to see and try on. I particularly like the showcasing of New Zealand designers like Claudia Li who has the most amazing designs, fabrics and is a highly regarded international designer. This is a must visit!

Fab experience at the Shelter today - I bought a gorgeous pair of Dunedin designer C&V earrings. As soon as I walked in I felt welcome - by both the stunning and intelligent wahine working there. No pressure for the sale, just good chat about life and fashion. Looking forward to going back in for my next purchase! xx
